In collaboration with Karlovac County, through the Green Energy, RenewHeat, and Woodkey projects, contract and procurement documentation were prepared for four heat energy sales agreements. Private investors committed to constructing biomass boiler rooms with a total capacity of 1.4 MW (Primary School Slunj, Primary School Slave Raškaj Ozalj, High School Duga Resa, and a school complex in Ogulin) and supplying heat energy for the duration of the contracts. This model ensured the use of domestic energy sources, combined EU funds, the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund, and private capital, earning several prestigious awards (Energy Globe, Župan.hr – Best EU Project).
